Casa de Campo innovations
Central Romana is investing 160 million US$ to ensure Casa de Campo's elite status in the Caribbean region. Recently the company installed a new combustion system at the sugar mill in order to reduce energy use and to inprove the environment protection.Also the company will conclude a state of the art medical center to be added to the existing hospital. In the resort the company is completing the new golf course next to the back nine of the Dye Fore, another addition to the Pete Dye's golf legacy. At Altos de Chavon the popular Papa Jack's bar has undergone a major face lift. A covered deck was added and now offers accomodation to a restaurant, run by famous chef Carlos Rosario who also does home catering to villa owners.

Puntacana Resort update
Another important step for the convenience of the villa owners and guests was the inauguration of Scotiabank at Puntacana Village. On January 2009, the 4th stage of Galerias at Puntacana Village will be opened. It will offer more options and services, including a bakery, Mailboxes Inc, restaurants, shops and others. Meanwhile, Ilumel, one of the largest home décor stores in the country, opened successfully this year in the new Shopping Mall. Soon, Cerarte (home flooring) and a professional Gym will open there too. Jumbo Supermarket and Ferreteria Americana are also scheduled by contract, to begin construction during the first trimester of 2009.
Puntacana Resort & Club has partnered with an international company, Blue Mall, to build a 30,000mts2 (300,000 square feet) high end mall, which is already being designed and will be ready to begin construction by mid 2009. With all these new developments we are pleased to say that we have several beautiful homes at the resort,available for private rental.
